Old guy trying to look less old. Sad, yes. (sigh) Works well, leaves enough gray so the final result doesn't look totally fake. None of my friends have laughed out loud or made fun, so either they're very polite (not) or the effect is natural.One caveat: be careful, leaving it on for the full time recommended left a darker result than I had hoped for. It eventually faded a bit, but next time I'll cut the stand time in half.

Doesnt cover the gray hair as promised..I used the product according to directions..You have to put this pre treatment product on first to make grays less resistant...anyway, I wasnt satisfied with the results..didnt cover the little bit of gray I have.. I am prob only about 5% gray..most of my hair is still light brown..Only Temples and forehead areas have gray.... it washed out after first shampoo..and now I am almost all gray in those areas again.. complete waste of money....wont use again.. Now I am stuck with 2 more boxes, not sure if its worth it to return them...wont buy again..

I am 50. I have always had television commercial quality hair. Well it is true. This great head of hair is largely genetic but also a result of proper hair care - washing only twice a week if I can get away with it and the least amount of product and heat possible. But now, my hair is turning white. In and of itself this does not bother me, but it is not turning white evenly. Right at the top of my forehead, about the spot where I would grow horns if that were possible, I have white streaks like The Bride of Frankenstein and the rest of my hair is a mix of reddish color, and brown color and white color. UGH!Being nagged by my mother about my hair and not wanting to start a new life of coloring my hair, I thought I would try the Henna. After much and much research I tried White Mountain. It was an arduous and messy process. Give yourself a whole day and if you are lucky enough to live in a warm climate all the better as this is best done outside. I live in warm climate.Now it is six months past the time I used this product and my hair still shines like glass and still has the natural curl and texture and the color is fantastic, a warm reddish brown. Instead of looking like 50 year old hair it looks like 20 year old hair. With one exception. Those white streaks, those streaks came out bright red. UGH. This is a decent product, but a little expensive due to the fact you can do it much cheaper yourself. There are many "ways" to reverse the gray, but the best book on it is by Heidi Murk Get Rid of Gray Hair (The All Natural Gray Hair Solution) or you can buy this product and it should do a decent job, but the ingredients is not the best in my opinion for optimal results.

Please be fully warned this product WILL stain your skin and scalp. If you have a bald spot it will look like blotchy mess once you are finished! Rubbed my skin raw with make up remover but I still have blotchy tracks on my neck where I didn't quite cover it with vaseline and my scalp but to little use. In my vain madness I thought this would be an easier, milder approach to covering some of my gray and avoid paying someone to do it for me, I was admittedly wrong! This is a job for a professional who knows what they are doing. But then again maybe you like having to explain to you co-workers why your head and neck are covered in black patches that look like you lost a fight with your car change the oil!! Honestly I chose neither, I will live with my gray and allow my actions to speak for me!Live and learn!Cheers!!

I really like this hair color, is very simple to apply and I always let it run longer than specified to cover well.

I've tried a number of products that didn't cover my gray roots. This does. There's a separate packet of gel that you work through your hair before coloring, and it's not much extra effort at all. The color lasts well without turning orange - I use the Clairol root touch up product in between colorings. I like this shade - it looks very natural and lightens up my features.

I used this product for years on my beard. No problems through January 2008 when I shaved my beard. In December 2008, I used it again on my sideburns... we're talking a 1 inch square area on each sideburn. Within minutes, I was suffering from a severe chemical burn. There was a huge blister on the skin under each sideburn that itched, burned, and oozed for several days. Aloe helped a little, but time was the only thing that solved the problem. It's been 3 days and I still itch. A note: as per their instructions, I did do a small test area before applying it. No problems with an area about a centimeter square. If you've got 1 hair to dye, I guess it's ok. Please check out other online reviews. This is dangerous!

Been using this for some years... once a month, but sometimes more frequent. Just work it in your hair for a bit & start counting (to 100 3 X's - though I usually don't go the full 5 minutes). I hop in the shower while counting (keeping my head dry) - and then rinse & wash my hair last.I back off from the sink when putting it on - because sometimes it's like painting your walls with a roller... there's going to be some splatter... and you're probably not going to always wipe it up (and it's harder to clean after it dries).

Been using this same product for years. Very much satisfied with it. Six weeks and still does not seem to fade.

I followed all the directions and honestly could tell no difference in hair color, I was disappointed expecting gray to be gone. Sorry but would not recommend.

This works for me--hides gray and gives a hint of color that is not shocking and obvious.

This is the best red hair color I have found yet. I don't understand why they have quit making it and you can no longer find it in stores. I am glad I could at least find it online until I can find a color to replace it, which I have yet to discover. This color stays and doesn't seem to fade like all the other reds I have tried. It is also very bright and vibrant but not in an ugly way. I get so many complements on my hair color when I use it. Going to be sad when I can't find it anymore. Hopefully someone else will come out with something similar. Until then, I will keep ordering what I can online.

Great product, I bought it second time, it really lasts up to 6 weeks, has no ammonia and needs just 5-10 minutes to color.

I used to use the regular Clairol Nice 'N Easy, and although I liked the way it looked right after coloring it seemed that the color faded within a couple of days and that the gray was back at the temples and hairline almost immediately. I've used Gray Solution for about 3 rounds now and it really does what it promises. The color lasts a long time and the gray is covered much better and stays covered. The clear gel one puts on right before coloring seems to be the key. I wish there were slightly more of this and that it were packaged in something other than the packet it comes in since it seems no matter how hard I try, I always end up spilling a bit of it and there is so little to begin with that I really struggle to distribute it through all my hair, which is on the short side. Still, the whole process works really well and is as easy to use as the other Nice 'N Easy, and I'd definitely recommend it for gray or graying hair. I had trouble finding the color I wanted at stores (e.g. Walmart's color selection for this product is very limited, even though they seem to have the full range of color for other products) so I was grateful to be able to order it on Amazon. The price was good and it's convenient to get the three packages at once if you're pretty sure the color is what you want.
